To commemorate World Alzheimer's Day on Sunday, residents from Spiritwood's Assisted and Independent living joined our Memory Care residents for an afternoon social! Residents enjoyed cookies, coffee, coloring, and conversation! It was a wonderful day spent with friends old and new!

Memory Care has had so much fun over the last week! We got a visit from a furry friend, decorated our fall-themed tree, and residents got to participate in their favorite activities! Whether it is going on a scenic drive, doing arts and crafts, or dancing to music, residents in Memory Care are always having a wonderful time.

🌺 The theme of the summer at our Village Concepts Communities is definitely Aloha! 🌴 Our team at Village Concepts of Sedro-Woolley hosted their annual summer BBQ — Hawaiian-style! Everyone dressed to impress in colorful Hawaiian shirts and leis, and the residents even performed a fun chair hula dance. Check out some of the highlights below!

Mark your calendar, next Tuesday, 9/2, is our second memory cafe from 1-3 pm. This community event is geared towards those in a memory care journey, be it as caregivers, relatives or patients themselves. No purchase is necessary, we just want to hold space for those who maybe need to talk or relax among those in similar situations. We have partnered with Village Concepts Communities who will be providing lights refreshments and well as offering information.

Spiritwood's Annual Summer Luau was this weekend, and everyone had a wonderful time! Our Dining team prepared a delicious tropical buffet, and the Vintage Vibes Band provided the perfect music to dance to! Our residents, along with their friends and families, enjoyed a day of fun in the sun!

🎉 Village Concepts of Milton hosted an amazing car show with the Gig Harbor Cruisers! Residents took a "cruise" down memory lane as they spent the afternoon with some pretty cool vintage cars and their owners 😍. Our friends from Village Concepts of Fairwood host a monthly Memory Care Café at The Brewmaster's Taproom 🍻. Residents join patrons for a round of bingo and some delicious root beer. This monthly event brings our memory care community together with neighbors and friends for meaningful connection, fun, and friendship. We can't wait to do it again next month! 💜

Our Village Concepts of Auburn community hosts an annual BBQ for Auburn’s National Night Out! 🍔🎉 A big thank you to the Valley Regional Fire Authority, Battalion Chief Kevin Morehart, Councilmember Lisa Stirgus, and our neighbors from the City of Auburn for spending the evening with our residents and team. We’re proud to be part of the Auburn community! ❤️

Summers at Village Concepts of Port Angeles are the best! ☀️ Our residents love strolling the walking paths of our 7 acres of park-like grounds and our shaded courtyard is the perfect place to chat with friends or have a BBQ picnic. Marketing Director Anthony says they often spot deer wandering through or blue heron taking a dip in their fish pond! If you stop by for a visit, don't forget to check out our majestic fountain (it's spectacular)! ⛲😍

Spiritwood celebrated a milestone birthday on Friday as Ria turned 100! We had a full house in the living room to wish her a very happy birthday!
Ria was born in Estonia in 1925, and lived in eastern Europe until the end of WWII, when she met and married her husband Charles and moved to the United States. She worked as a real estate agent, and loves to talk about the beautiful Seattle homes she helped to sell. Ria has been a resident here at Spiritwood since 2014, and brightens every room with her exuberant smile and kind words. Happy Birthday, Ria!

The second day of our 50th Anniversary celebration included a delicious prime rib lunch for both residents and staff, as well as a wonderful musical performance from Arthur Keast! The 50th anniversary letter from CEO Stuart Brown was read aloud, and everyone enjoyed reminiscing on the history of Village Concepts!

Spiritwood commemorated Village Concepts' 50th Anniversary with a 3-day celebration! Our first day included a video program, a bingo competition, and an afternoon of flower arranging! Our team here at Spiritwood is fantastic! In the care they provide for the residents, the support they give each other, and the pride they take in making Spiritwood great, we appreciate them! To show that appreciation, we threw a lunch barbeque for our team in our sunny courtyard! Everyone gathered together and enjoyed celebrating the work we do, and the excellent team we have!

Spiritwood celebrated Father's Day with a fantastic barbeque lunch courtesy of our culinary team! We welcomed families, friends, and loved ones as we celebrated the great dads living here at Spiritwood! It was a wonderful sunny day, and everyone enjoyed being together to celebrate!
