Our residents had a blast hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for our local kids. It was so much fun even the Easter Bunny decided to hop in and make an appearance. 🐰

Wings Over Texas Hospice came out and did Spring tattoos for us. ✨🩵🥚

Shoot out to Hospice Plus for the Easter basket donations as well as everyone who donated candy and eggs.

We had such a wonderful time making new friends from the Golden Circle of Ennis while creating gorgeous spring book bouquets together. 🌷✨

A big thank you to April with Wings Over Texas, and Sarah and her daughter from Bristol Hospice for helping make this day so special! 💙

We truly enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to do it again! 😊

Our residents and staff had such a wonderful time looking through vintage yearbooks that were generously loaned to us by our local library! 📚

The smiles, giggles, and stories that came from reminiscing about the past made the day extra special. It was amazing hearing everyone share memories and recognize familiar faces! 😊

We wrapped up the day by making edible rainbows 🌈 — and we may have snuck a few bites of cereal along the way! 😁

🌟 Resident Spotlight: Ms. Saxon! 🌟

We’re excited to shine the spotlight on one of our wonderful residents, Ms. Saxon!

Born and raised right here in Italy, Texas, Ms. Saxon loves to share that she was born in a home on South Ward Street — and made her “big move” when she later settled on North Ward Street. Her family roots run deep in this community; her grandfather moved to Italy from Alabama in 1892, planting the beginnings of a legacy that she still carries proudly today.
Ms. Saxon was one of only 19 students to graduate from Italy High School in 1956, and she later continued her education by attending LVN school. Her dedication to helping others has always been a big part of who she is.

She joined us here at Renaissance Rehab in 2020, and since then she has been a bright, joyful part of our community. She enjoys coloring, playing Bingo, doing crafts, and joining in on group games. When asked what she enjoys most about living here, she says it’s the staff and her fellow residents who make this place feel like home.
