CABS Autism and Behavior Specialists C.A.B.S provides individualized consultation and therapy services to children and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

CABS provides in-home and clinic-based ABA services to children with autism spectrum and related disorders in Northwest Illinois, Savannah, Statesboro and Rome Georgia. Services are provided in the home, school, community, and clinic settings. Using the guiding principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) our team works closely with you and your child to determine a treatment approach that will best meet your child and family’s needs.

💙🙂 1 Skill, 5 Ways: Identifying Emotions 🙂💙
Helping our kiddos understand feelings is such a big part of communication, confidence, and connection — and this week, we focused on building that skill in five different ways! 🧠💛
Here’s how our learners practiced identifying emotions:
✨ Using visual supports to label feelings
✨ Modeling and prompting on AAC devices
✨ Acting out emotions during pretend play
✨ Practicing with emojis 😊😡😢😲
✨ Receptively identifying emotions during activities
Every child learns in their own way — and by teaching the same skill across fun, meaningful moments, we help those connections really stick. 💙
