This holiday, this celebration of fireworks and flags and family cookouts, was made possible by citizens with guns.
Not politicians, not paperwork, not polite negotiations. But farmers, blacksmiths, printers—ordinary people who picked up arms and said no more to a government that had overstepped its bounds.
The Fourth of July isn’t just a date. It’s a reminder of what happens when courageous people refuse to live under tyranny. The founding of America wasn’t peaceful, it was a revolution, born in smoke and lead. And those who fought, did it because they believed in something worth defending: freedom.
That’s what the Second Amendment is about. It was never meant for sport or hunting, it was a shield against tyranny. A last line of defense between free people and those who would rule over them without consent.
Today, America is the last country left with an armed citizenry. The last real civilian army. And like it or not, it makes Americans the final barrier between freedom and the global control that creeps forward every day—quietly, systemically, relentlessly.
They want a world where you own nothing, say nothing, and obey everything. But that only works if we’re disarmed. If we forget where we came from. If we let go of our right to say NO and mean it.
So as you celebrate today, don’t just think about the fireworks. Think about what they represent; explosions in the sky meant to echo the cannon fire that once shook an empire.
Americans didn’t beg for freedom, they took it. And if we’re not careful, if we give up the tools that made it possible—we’ll lose it just as quickly.
So while I may not be American, I’ve come to understand why this day matters. And why the Second Amendment exists. It’s not about violence, it’s about making sure power can never go fully unchecked. Because history has shown us what happens when it does.
So Happy Independence Day! Not just to America, but to anyone, anywhere, who still believes in sovereignty and freedom and is willing to fight for it.
