Behind the scenes, she keeps our services not only running but growing, always pushing our mission forward. She navigates the toughest parts of this work with humor, transparency, grace, and warmth — all while her feet stay firmly planted in the belief that healthcare with dignity is truly a human right.

Our Story

The REACH Project, Inc. (REACH) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2017 by Dr. Justine Waldman. Dr. Waldman’s vision was to create a nonprofit organization that could serve as the foundation for expanding access to services for people who use drugs, and others who may face stigma due to their individual circumstances such as homelessness, poverty or other issues that tend to cause less than adequate care in today’s healthcare environment. REACH stands for Respectful, Equitable Access to Compassionate Healthcare.

REACH owns and operates a low threshold, harm reduction medical practice known as REACH Medical. Patients can receive opioid replacement therapy, primary care services, Hep C treatment, PrEP and many other services.
