On June 12, 2016 a mass shooting took place during Latin night at the Pulse Nightclub, a beloved LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando, Florida. There were 49 people who lost their lives, and many other who were injured. At that time, this heartbreaking tragedy was the largest mass shooting in US history. The city of Orlando and the LGBTQ community are resilient and in the process of building a memorial in the place of the nightclub as a way to honor the memory of so many beautiful lives lost, and to remember that LOVE must always conquer hate. We honor those lives everyday, but especially today. In community we rise. 🏳️‍🌈

Our Story

The REACH Project, Inc. (REACH) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2017 by Dr. Justine Waldman. Dr. Waldman’s vision was to create a nonprofit organization that could serve as the foundation for expanding access to services for people who use drugs, and others who may face stigma due to their individual circumstances such as homelessness, poverty or other issues that tend to cause less than adequate care in today’s healthcare environment. REACH stands for Respectful, Equitable Access to Compassionate Healthcare.

REACH owns and operates a low threshold, harm reduction medical practice known as REACH Medical. Patients can receive opioid replacement therapy, primary care services, Hep C treatment, PrEP and many other services.
