On June 12, 2016 a mass shooting took place during Latin night at the Pulse Nightclub, a beloved LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando, Florida. There were 49 people who lost their lives, and many other who were injured. At that time, this heartbreaking tragedy was the largest mass shooting in US history. The city of Orlando and the LGBTQ community are resilient and in the process of building a memorial in the place of the nightclub as a way to honor the memory of so many beautiful lives lost, and to remember that LOVE must always conquer hate. We honor those lives everyday, but especially today. In community we rise. 🏳️‍🌈

The world of human service work is almost never linear. When you manage a large donation closet, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll have a surplus of some things and a shortage of others at any given time. The one thing that our folks never have to worry about is socks. provides nearly 2,000 people in Tompkins County with the best socks.. year after year. Do you ever wonder if companies really stand by their promise to donate, each time a purchase is made? REACH can confirm that they walk the walk (in the bomb ass socks). Thank you! 🧦 💜

Zach, you are so lovely. You came to us so fresh and green and have become such a vital part of our team. Both because you’re great at your job (doing all the specialty med ordering, registering and scheduling all the new patients, helping problem solve and trouble shoot with patients over the phone) and also because you just bring lovely energy and everyone is happy to be around you! You are the office DJ, introducing music from around the world, and it’s so nice to have someone who holds such meaningful and positive relationships with everyone around them. Everyone please listen to some Brazilian jams and eat some vegan treats today, in honor of Zach. Happy birthday, we love you so much!

We’re a little late here, but please make no mistake that Laura is *the* kindest, smartest, most flexible, empathetic, bad ass advocate, lover of the earth and all things beautiful. Laura will spend all of her time working with her patients and others for no reason other than to make things better- in a big or small way.
