Dr. Stevanovic founded Ithaca Primary Care in 2010. He has practiced and taught primary care medicine for more than 25 years, having treated thousands of patients in hospital, clinic, and private practice settings. He is board certified in internal medicine and is a hypertension specialist.
He holds a BS degree from New York University in English and Biology and received his medical degree from Faculté de Médecine, Université Scientifique et Médicale de Grenoble, France. He completed residency in the Combined Medicine and Pediatrics Program at New York Medical College - Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, Bronx, NY.
He then served as assistant professor of clinical medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and as attending physician in the Department of Primary Care Medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY, among other clinical and academic positions. He completed a Clinical Research Fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Endocrinology and Hypertension in Boston, MA. Dr. Stevanovic presently holds a hospital appointment at Cayuga Medical Center and holds the title of assistant professor in clinical medicine at Weil Cornell Medical School.
He is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Serbo-Croatian and has working capability in all Romance and Slavic languages, as well as German.
