As many of you have noticed, I haven't posted in a long time! Since I am still getting requests, I am posting the most current biz news:

My massage business is closed for the foreseeable future. My office (on Albany St) is no longer mine - indefinitely closed. If I return to massage work, I will announce it here as well as the rest of my social media.

Thank you all for being such wonderful clients and friends! My mother passed away last month and I am needing a lot of space and time to process this before I take next steps in my career. I hope to be back in the next couple of years with a shift in offerings.

My sweet Sanctuary is currently closed due to covid (and has been for many months - I’m just now getting to officially announcing on FB).

I hope to return to massage therapy one day - stay tuned for future happenings. There will be more and varied offerings to come.

Couldn’t have said it better. Thank you to the glorious (who lives somewhere near where I do which I’m super psyched about!!! Hoping for a post-covid lecture somewhere close-by.

Grateful for *everything* (even the living lessons) in my life, and for the 🔥 in my ♥️ & soul that keeps me going. I know this day is rough for so many of us — even before slapped our faces repeatedly. Love to all of you - I hope the rest of this year is as easeful as possible for every single one of us.

💯, plain and simple. It took me nearly 40 years to start truly accepting this about myself (sometimes life is constant change and transitions). It may be one of those things I work with for the rest of my life. Growing up in this western culture does not leave much room for this kind of acceptance.

Also, do yourself a favor and follow this wonderful human.

It’s ok if things that once felt easy now feel difficult. It’s ok if it’s taking you twice as long to do things that you were once able to do quickly.

Change takes a lot of energy.

Sometimes it’s enough just to be able to say you survived the day. ✨

Be patient, kind and gentle with yourself. We are rewriting timelines, dismantling old paradigms, and literally in a full blown revolution of consciousness. That is going to need a lot of energy, fam!!! If what used to come easy for you now feels 10X more challenging, BREATHE THROUGH THE CHANGE. If what once was working for you now is not, BREATHE THROUGH THE CHANGE. If you feel like you’re just floating in the void of unknowns, BREATHE THROUGH THE CHANGE.

As a part of the transition team, How are you surrendering to the transitions? Our body’s are going to resist change and will want us to go back to what feels safe and normal. Stay strong, embodied and grounded as you take part in advocating for + creating the world you wish to live in. 🤲🏼✨ xx

Oh my goodness, friends! It’s been too long!

I have decided to reopen August 25. Between moving, caretaking my high-risk mother and hosting a family member from the south (not to mention getting everything together for the extensive new guidelines and regulations!), this feels like the right date for me to officially reopen. Plus, GREAT NEWS: I’ll be in the office 5 (FIVE!!) days/week now, so you have epic choice in appointment times! Head over to www.sanctuarywithbritt.com to schedule.

While we are still waiting for Sanctuary to reopen, here is a quick guide to proper self-massage for your sweet feet. These puppies work hard for us every day and are often taken for granted until they are sore and barking at us. Hello clients and those of you I haven’t yet met! Man, I miss my work and all of you. I hope your nervous systems are navigating this era with as much ease as is possible. I look forward to assisting in that ease as soon as it feels right! Our systems need to be able to rest and recover in order to continue to safely do our work in this world. Maybe your work rn is learning how to safely recover so you can get back up and at it? If so, I strongly suggest checking out for some super-pro tips & encouragement! My Story

I arrived at massage therapy by taking the scenic route - it wasn't something I always knew I wanted to do. it was presented to me at a time when all I was sure of was that I wanted to help people who had survived hardships. Whether these difficult experiences manifested in physical, mental and/or emotional pain, I wanted to help ease these burdens by creating & holding a safe, nonjudgmental space where organic healing can occur. Massage Therapy gives me the vehicle to do just this. My passions are working with women who have been/are going through hard times, especially related to reproductive health & loss, and working with All People through grief & loss, helping to connect with & feel at home in their bodies.

Our experiences are stored in our physical bodies ("our issues are in our tissues" is one of my favorite quotes) & can manifest as pain, soreness, loss of range of motion, etc. I am fascinated by where emotions & experiences meet the body because this is where bodywork can help affect profound & lasting change. I practice Integrative Massage which means that I draw upon many modalities (techniques/styles) to help serve each client best, moment to moment.
