Parents, I have attached information on the cardiac screening that is REQUIRED at routine health examinations for your child(ren). If they participate in sports, these questions are mandatory. Hopefully this information is helpful for those questioning extra testing for their child(ren) who may be in sports.

Parents! Our summer and fall schedule is open for routine well child care and start if school re-checks for those children who require medication at school, including allergy and asthma medications! Each school will need to have updated permissions for dispensing medications, so scheduling now will beat the rush when school starts! Call 607-272-6880 to be scheduled today!

Summer vacation is in full swing! The office will be closed tomorrow, Friday July 4th, 2025, in celebration of the holiday.

Beginning Saturday, July 5th, 2025, the office WILL NOT have Saturday hours until Saturday, August 16, 2025. We will still offer after hours coverage, but the office will not be open on Saturdays. Enjoy your summer!

Meet Amit Shrivastava MD!

Dr. Shrivastava is known by his patients for his fun neckties and being very approachable. He likes to combine western medicine with a holistic approach. Dr. Shrivastava firmly believes there are two pillars to optimal health in children, whole foods and natural sleep cycles following the sun. He also believes in working together with parents to accomplish the best outcomes for a child’s health.

Dr. Shrivastava is a proud father of two daughters. His oldest daughter is completing medical school and his youngest is currently attending Cornell University. Dr. Shrivastava enjoys cooking, bicycling and playing guitar.

Dr. Shrivastava has been caring for the patients of Buttermilk Falls Pediatrics since 1994. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gandi Medical College in Bhopal, India, completing his Pediatric Residency at the University of Iowa Hospital. Dr. Shrivastava has also done research into the field of Nephrology.

Dr. Shrivastava speaks English, Hindi, Spanish and Russian.

Meet Kimberly Welch, MSN, PNP!

Kimberly is known by her patients for her big smile and positive, fun attitude while addressing the early stages of growth and development and medical needs. She is passionate about helping children achieve their health potential. She has specialized training in breast-feeding and can help overcome most breast-feeding challenges.

Kimberly is a proud mother of two. Both her son and daughter have both gone into the Military. When she is not working, Kimberly enjoys being active, hiking Ithaca’s trails and waterfalls. Buttermilk Falls has become her favorite trail to hike. She also enjoys Pilates, Kayaking and the Farmer’s market.

Kimberly grew up near Syracuse NY. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Buffalo University. She completed her Masters degree and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program through Syracuse University. She has worked in 5 different states and has over two decades of experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Kimberly has also collaborated with the Military’s International SOS program working with pediatric refugee patients.
