Ithaca Birth Group is a community of people interested in exploring issues that effect women and their families during the childbearing year, including, but not limited to, pregnancy, labor and birth, postpartum and breastfeeding in Ithaca and the surrounding region.

General information

Founded in 1975, Ithaca Birth Group (IBG) offered childbirth technique education as well as discussion seminars for over 30 years before ceasing in 2007. IBG has historically, and has now resumed offering, the Ithaca and surrounding community opportunities to explore information and local resources regarding pregnancy, labor, childbirth, postpartum and breastfeeding. Led by local doula Erin Kerr from Sacred Earth Doula Care, the IBC will be revived offering weekly opportunities to connect with others in the community, providing space in which to learn from each other and explore these and other topics more in-depth.
