Ithaca College Center for Counseling and Psychological Services CAPS offers counseling and crisis intervention for students and consultation services for faculty, staff and others with concerns about a student. to 5:00 p.m.

CAPS offers short-term individual and group counseling to Ithaca College students; consultation services to faculty, staff and others who are concerned about the well-being of a student, and educational programs to the campus community. Life in college is a time of great change and personal growth. It is exciting, satisfying, and sometimes challenging. For many students, there are times when all the demands and excitement may feel overwhelming. Ithaca College understands that students need many kinds of support to help them succeed. Accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS), CAPS is available to help

- students who need individual attention for resolving personal or interpersonal problems;
- students who desire guidance in dealing with the demands of academic life; and
- friends, faculty, family members, and others who have concerns about the well-being of an Ithaca College student. Licensed and licensed-eligible psychologists and social workers provide clinical and crisis intervention services. CAPS staff conducts outreach and educational services to the campus community with an emphasis on mental health issues relevant to college students. Our office is located in the lower level of the Hammond Health Center, and we have a private entrance near the U parking lot. Business hours are from 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Whether it is for yourself or for a friend, CAPS is here to help.
