We are pleased to announce the newest addition to the MFD Foundation Board! Please join us in welcoming Lance Heavener to our leadership team. His passion for funeral service and commitment to supporting our profession make him a wonderful fit for the Foundation’s mission.

Lance is a proud native of Burnsville, Mississippi, and a dedicated funeral service professional with a deep commitment to serving my community. He currently manages Ludlam Funeral Home in Iuka and also serves families through his work at Memorial and McPeters Funeral Homes in Corinth.

With nine years of experience in the funeral industry, he has found this to be one of the most rewarding careers he could have ever pursued. He truly loves serving the families of Tishomingo and Alcorn counties with compassion, dignity, and care.

In addition to his professional roles, he is a local business owner and has been an active member of the association for the past seven years. he values the sense of purpose and connection that this work brings and is honored to support his neighbors during life’s most meaningful moments.

We look forward to the insight and energy Lance will bring to the MFD Foundation Board as we continue to promote education, leadership, and support for funeral service professionals across Mississippi.
