The adopt-a-door decorations have officially begun. Tonight, the youth and leaders of New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church adopted three doors. Everyone worked hard and had fun. Residents are loving every minute of watching their doors being decorated. Thank you so much. We appreciate all y’all did.

I'd love to share a highlight from our evening activity. Tonight, I recreated one of my favorite childhood treats, toasted ritz crackers with peanut butter and Marshmallows . As I prepared the treats, I asked the residents how many had enjoyed them as a child. A few of the residents had, but none of the staff had. Some of the residents had made them for their own children. The conversation that followed was heartwarming, with residents and staff alike sharing their favorite childhood treats, and one conversation led to another, and then they were discussing their favorite toys as a child. After the treats were handed out, one resident had eaten three of the treats and motioned for the nurse to come over; the resident, very serious, said, "I think I need more." And more is what she got. It was a wonderful evening of reminiscing. These treats may have been messy, but they were absolutely delicious. 😊 Activity staff passed the treats out in the hallway and from room to room so all the residents and staff could enjoy them.
We would like to hear from you: share with us one of your favorite childhood treats.
A few pictures of the activity.

This afternoon was truly a heartfelt celebration. We had the privilege of hosting a Veteran’s recognition and pinning ceremony with Gentiva Hospice. Our Veterans Day event was very special .. Bro Roger Wood, a Veteran himself, shared his thoughts about the sacrifices of Veterans and spoke from the heart. He beautifully recounted the history of the first Veterans Day, highlighting various wars and even referencing Abraham’s battle in the Bible. This was followed by a touching poem read by Brandon Perkins, also from Gentiva Hospice. The pinning ceremony and presentation of certificates were meaningful to all in attendance. TCLC would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all Veterans for their service.

Tishtastic Holiday Taste Walk 2025 was a Tishtastic success. We sold all 20 tickets, and we have several orders for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The walk may be over, but there's more baking to come. It was so much fun, and all our tastings were delicious.
We would like to thank everyone who baked, helped with the walk, everyone who bought tickets and who bought baked goods for their family holiday meals. Thank you.
Thanks to Amanda Lambert for always helping.

We're thrilled to recognize our outstanding team members through our Employee of the Month award, which is proudly chosen by our staff. Each month, we will honor the staff member voted for during that month. Our first Employee of the Month is Ms. Shelia Bennett. Shelia has been a CNA at TCLC for 34 years. Shelia is one of the best pumpkins in the patch. Congratulations, Shelia; well deserved. Pictured are Shelia and Josie, ADON.

Blast from the past! When I say past, it was only 7 days ago. 😊 Here are a few pictures from our Halloween Trick or Treat and a few staff members dressed for the occasion. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Hospices companies, our great family members, sweet staff and others who donated candy. Thanks to all the staff who helped make this event possible. When I needed help with decorations, our housekeeping crew was there, and when I needed pictures, Stacy Michael was there. Special thanks to Rachel DON, Josie ADON, Shelia Charge nurse, Angie Jones Admission/Social for their creative tables and Angela Walker LPN for adding a special touch to our decorations. Thanks to staff for assisting residents to the event. Terri Activity Assistant and myself would like to say thank you to everyone. We couldn’t have done it without you.
I hope I have not left anyone out. It takes us all to have a successful event.

A huge thank you to each and every one of you who purchased tickets - your support means the world. We are thrilled to be hosting the First Holiday Walk. Tickets are now officially sold out, and the baking can begin.
Jamie and I had a friendly competition to see who could sell their tickets first, and we tied - we sold our last ones together today. 🙂❤️
