To use your sage bundle light the end of the bundle then blow out the flame so that the leaves begin to smoke. Lightly fanning the bundle will help with getting an even burn and will help move the fragrant scent. When you are finished put your sage bundle out. To do this, simply push down the end that is on fire in sand, water, or a fireproof dish.

Because, wild stands of White Sage are at risk for overharvest and have been placed on the Untied Plant Savers “To Watch” list, here at Tap Into You LLC we like to unravel the sage bundle and use one stick or a pinch of leaves at a time. This helps to make the sage last longer and creates less wasting.

Pro tip: once the end of your sage bundle is on fire, you do waste quite a bit trying to put it back out.
