Amador County!

We have rapid covid testing that results in 15 minutes. Avoid the ER and drop by urgent care. I hear that that place is a madhouse. Please make an appointment, either to see a doctor and have covid testing, or for drive through covid testing, depending on your need. If you do walk in and are symptomatic, please wear a mask and alert staff immediately that you are at risk for having Covid-19. This will help keep all of our patients and staff protected and safe.

Also, we have a new family practice doc, doctor Hooper, and are taking new primary care patients and expanding our practice. If you are on our waiting list for a new P*P drop by and see us for a new patient appointment. The only caveat is that we are taking medical patients, not chronic pain patients.

If you are in limbo waiting for dr Hall and Amy’s transition and can’t get your meds… If you were one of dr Blasingame’s patients and need a new doc… or if you have a problem that nobody can seem to figure out… come see dr Hetzner and Gold Coutry Urgent Care. We can help!

TREATING SIMPLE CUTS: Unless your hand or arm is dripping with blood, treating a cut is simple. Stop the bleeding by applying pressure using a clean gauze or cotton ball. Clean the wound with warm water and a fragrance-free soap. No need to use hydrogen peroxide or any cleanser that contains iodine as it could further irritate the wound. Apply a thin layer of antibiotic or petroleum jelly to the area to keep it moist and cover with a bandage to prevent dirt from infecting it.

Gold Country Urgent Care in Amador County is now open Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm. We accept both appointments and walk-ins. We are a fee-for service at this time while we work to get credentialed with health insurance companies. We accept cash, credit card, HSA and FSA cards. We provide a coded invoice which may be submitted to your insurer.
