Most people don’t realize this, but a lot of pain doesn’t actually start at home…
It starts at work.
I see it all the time with nurses, aides, factory workers, teachers, and anyone on their feet or sitting at a computer for 12 hours.
After a shift your body doesn’t just feel “tired.”
Your neck locks up from charting.
Your shoulders stay elevated for hours.
Your low back tightens from standing and bending.
Then a few days later it turns into headaches, tingling arms, or constant stiffness.
That’s where medical massage is different.
I don’t do spa relaxation. I assess what muscles are overworking, what joints aren’t moving correctly, and treat it like a musculoskeletal problem… because that’s what it is.
Many of my patients are healthcare workers, and they don’t need candles and ocean sounds.
They need their neck to turn again and their back to stop barking at them when they get out of the car.
If your job is wearing your body down, you don’t have to just “live with it.”
