Last week, the ACT Center for To***co Treatment, Education and Research celebrated over 40 individuals who have committed to a to***co-free lifestyle during a pinning ceremony for the program’s graduates.

The Great American Smokeout is an annual event held on the third Thursday of November that encourages people to quit smoking, va**ng, or using other to***co products. It's a day to make a plan to quit, either for just 24 hours or for good. The event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and provides resources and support to help people quit.

The Stronger Together Health and Resource Fair was a huge success! This event was held at the Mississippi Trade Mart on Saturday, November 15th!

Register today for the free Stronger Together Community Health and Resource Fair on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm., at the Trade Mart. Thirty tables of resources will offer screenings, health and life resources, education on available health research studies, and more.

This event brings together experts, survivors, and advocates working to improve Mississippi’s lung cancer prevention, detection and treatment.
