Mr. Sims arrived at Pine Forest Health and Rehabilitation following a hospital stay after experiencing a recent stroke. Upon admission, he required assistance with all mobility and activities of daily living.
During his stay, Mr. Sims received skilled Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy on a daily basis. His therapy focused on improving strength, mobility, independence with ADLs, and cognitive skills to prepare for a safe return home.
Mr. Sims set a personal goal to walk using a rollator walker and return home independently. Through his strong dedication, motivation, and consistent participation in therapy, he successfully achieved these goals. Mr. Sims has made remarkable progress and is now able to ambulate with a rollator and safely transition back to his home environment.
