Exciting news for the City of Pearl Fire Department! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our department has received a generous grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation! This funding allows us to equip our men and women with top-of-the-line turnout gear, ensuring they have the safety, comfort, and protection needed to perform their duties effectively-and most importantly, to return home safely after each shift. From a financial perspective, this grant also eases budget constraints, allowing us to redirect funds toward other essential needs within the department. We are incredibly grateful to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation for selecting the Pearl Fire Department as a grant recipient. What a great way to spend a morning! MBHRC’s Medical Director Dr. Derek Culnan partnered with the Canton Fire Department for their annual Junior Fire Academy. Dr. Culnan and his team met with academy participants Thursday morning, discussing ways to prevent fires and burns and what to do if someone does get burned! In the heat of the moment during a disaster, seconds matter. Decisions matter. Lives matter. On Pandemonium Day, MBHRC encourages you to take a look at your escape plan in case of a home fire. Don’t have an escape plan? Take a few minutes and come up with one. Review it with your family. Hopefully, if the time comes and you need to use the plan, familiarity will reduce the panic amid the pandemonium. Stay prepared and stay safe.
