Today’s 🌟Senior Spotlight🌟 is the one and only Jordan Abney!

His favorite memories from residency are the class wide Lime scooter race in Salt Lake City, his surprise birthday/halloween party and racing mel Fox in placing chest tubes as interns (she cheated)😂🤣

Dr. Abney will be taking his talents to Adventhealth Celebration in Florida! Best perk about his new job is unlimited dole whip 😋 🍍 we cant wait to visit!!

His favorite memories from residency were meeting everyone during OPEM month, their group vacation to Salt Lake City, working with his classmates on the 4th of July, matching into fellowship and also seeing how proud Mel was of him!

Dr. Shands will start his critical care fellowship at The University of Cincinnati after graduation. We are proud of you 👏👏

First up for 🌟 Senior Spotlights 🌟 is Chief Lindsay Batista!! She will be starting her attending career at Forrest General in Hattiesburg. We are glad she is staying in MS 🤩

Her favorite memories from residency are:
Lime scooter races in the hotel parking lot in Salt Lake City during ACEP (really that trip as a whole) & camping for my 30th bday with the Abneys, Foxes, Boehnkes, & Drew 🫶🏼

Spring Retreat ‘26 was certainly one for the books!

Started the morning with breakfast & business, moved on to relay games & a water balloon war, and finished with “Cajun Surf n Turf” & and afternoon on the boat. We love it here 🫶🏼

Today, our Thursday conference was allllll about airways. It’s the A of ABC for a reason!

We had several stations that included:
- pig cricothyrotomy
- pediatric airways; neonatal, infant, kids
- fiberoptic intubations
- SimGym scenarios
- Airway escape room
