Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice often called “yogic sleep.” While lying comfortably, you are led through gentle awareness of the body, breath, and mind, allowing the nervous system to deeply relax while the mind remains aware.
This state of conscious rest can help reduce stress, improve sleep, support emotional balance, and enhance clarity and resilience. Even a short practice can leave people feeling deeply restored—similar to several hours of sleep—while also cultivating greater self-awareness and calm.

We’ll explore:
– The benefits of yoga nidrā
– Various practices inspired by more than 7 systematic approaches to yoga nidrā
– Sankalpa (intention) to clarify what we truly want in life
– Svadhyaya (self-study) to identify our key limiting beliefs
– The 5 koshas that map the manifestation of our habits and potential
– The three primary states of consciousness and the transcendent realm referred to as “the fourth”

THE STUDIO
Only 3 blocks from Town Square, Akasha Yoga is housed in Jackson Hole's first schoolhouse. The large windows and mountain views give a spacious feeling and connection to nature.
Akasha Yoga teachers are dedicated to the uplifting qualities that yoga imparts. We offer a variety of styles with an emphasis on creating healthy space in the body, mind, and life.
