🌱✨ Big news for Midtown! ✨🌱

Thanks to a grant from & , we’re turning an overgrown vacant lot into an ADA-accessible Community Urban Farm & Wellness Garden right here in the heart of Jackson’s Midtown neighborhood!

This new space will grow more than just fresh food—it will grow community care, connection, and compassion. From nature-based learning to holistic wellness programs, it will be a welcoming place where everyone—including elders and neighbors with disabilities—can gather, learn, and thrive. 💚

🎉 Big News, Midtown! 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce our newest project—the Midtown Art Park & Skate Garden! 🌳🛹🎨

Back in 2010, Midtown Partners launched a master planning process with our neighbors, students, local businesses, and nonprofits to shape the future of our community. One exciting idea that came out of those early conversations was a park that would celebrate our creative culture, encourage healthy outdoor activity, and bring people together.

Now, we’re bringing that vision to life!

Thanks to support from an AWS ChangeX planning grant and in collaboration with archimania, we revisited the original idea through community meetings and visioning charrettes. The result? A reimagined space that blends art, skate culture, sustainability, and wellness.

The Midtown Art Park & Skate Garden will feature:
🌱 Fruit trees to combat food insecurity
💧 Stormwater and flood-mitigation design
🛹 Skateable art and creative installations
🎭 Spaces for all ages to connect, create, and play

This will be more than a park—it’ll be a vibrant, inclusive hub for creativity, community, and resilience. We can’t wait to build this with you.

Meet Cowboy:
"My name is Dewaskii Davis, I'm the Farm Coordinator for Farm2Community Midtown. I am a lifelong Midtown resident. I've attended Brown and Rowan which were both Midtown schools and graduated from Bailey Magnet in 2007. Being a Farm Coordinator is truly a dream job, and farming in general is something I'm passionate about. I am excited to also be able to pass the knowledge to my community. It’s an honor and a blessing."
