The last couple of days at The Orchards have been filled with pure holiday joy.
We welcomed the beautiful voices of the Holy Redeemer Church Carolers, filling our halls with timeless Christmas cheer, and enjoyed festive “Holiday Happenings” in the classroom with the incredible students of Manasquan Elementary School.
Our residents’ smiles said it all.

A morning filled with holiday magic! Today we welcomed The Salvation Army for a beautiful piano caroling session with our residents. A special highlight was celebrating Mr. & Mrs. Edeen—beloved members of The Salvation Army since their youth and known for their years of service in the Bowery and their work running homeless shelters in New York.
Their story — and this new partnership — brings so much heart into our home. With incredible generosity, The Salvation Army gifted every one of our residents a Christmas present.
We are grateful for this new friendship and excited to build even more meaningful programming together. Stay tuned!

Resident Feature Highlight: John F.
For over 40 years, John was the beloved Santa of his hometown, spreading holiday cheer alongside his local fire department. This season, he shared one heartfelt wish with our team — to be Santa once again.

In passing, we mentioned this to his lovely wife, Maureen… and today, the magic arrived. A brand-new Santa suit, perfectly fit for John, showed up just in time for a special surprise during our Snow-Ball Soirée.

✨ “The real magic of Christmas is the joy we give to others.” ✨

The smile on John’s face was truly a gift to all of us this holiday season. Stay tuned to see him in action at his upcoming Santa Meet & Greet — you won’t want to miss the magic he brings to The Orchards!
