It can be prescribed in a doctor’s office and is one of several evidence-based treatment options available in Mississippi.

Stand Up, Mississippi offers naloxone training for first responders and schools, universities, community and faith-based organizations across the state. Our trainings cover:

✅ How to recognize the signs of an overdose
✅ How naloxone works
✅ How to safely administer it

📢 Mississippi is taking action to address the opioid crisis.

The Mississippi Opioid Settlement Fund Advisory Council has recommended how lawmakers could invest more than $100 million in settlement funds to strengthen prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts across our state.

Proposed investments include:
- Expanding residential treatment for individuals involved in the criminal justice system
- Increasing access to naloxone to reverse opioid overdoses
- Providing mental health support services
- Supporting faith-based and community recovery programs

These recommendations focus on saving lives, strengthening recovery pathways, and supporting healthier communities across Mississippi.
