I am a big fan of Alcon's Vivity IOL. The Vivity lens offers a seamless span of vision for both distant and intermediate activities, along with efficient near vision. The Vivity lens gives you the vision of a 45-year-old. Patients are able to pass a driver’s test without glasses as well as do sports, housework, crafts, see the computer and read up to 20 inches. Over the counter +1.25 readers are needed for fine print smaller than a newspaper.

Multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs) provide patients an opportunity to lessen their reliance on glasses or contact lenses. These lenses are implanted inside the eye to address both near and distant vision, offering a comprehensive vision correction solution. In the past, cataract surgery primarily focused on improving distance vision for activities like driving or watching TV.
