📍 Did you know Mississippi has multiple R+R locations across the state?
If you haven’t heard of MS R+R yet — it’s worth looking into! R+R is a resource lending library where families can rent toys, sensory kits, books, and more. But here’s the part we love just as much: you can also stay and play!
We spent a couple of hours there today, and it’s such a great way to get out of the house, let your child explore different toys and tools, and see what they actually connect with before renting or buying.
The Ridgeland location is our favorite — the open floor plan gives kids room to move and makes it easy to browse with little ones in tow.
We came home with these bilingual books 👇 — you gotta love a good dual-language resource!

Hey friends! Next week I'll have a pediatrics resident from UMMC shadowing me to learn about lactation. I'd like my calendar to be as full as possible so she'll get the most out of her time with me. So in the service of education, I'll be offering all of my appointments next week at no cost. If you know anyone who's held off getting lactation help because of cost, this would be a great time to come see me! I routinely help with issues such as:

✨ Learning to latch
✨ Pumping and fl**ge fitting
✨ Low weight gain
✨ Supply issues
✨ Oral evaluations
✨ Transitioning back to the breast
✨ Bottle refusal
✨ Painful or fussy feeding
✨ Starting Solids
✨ Supplementing
✨ Engorgement
✨ Prenatal education

CMDSS is providing a FREE World Down Syndrome Day Classroom Box to help you promote inclusion, understanding, and celebration in your school community.

Each kit includes:

📘 WDSD informational packet
📚 Inclusion book
📝 Activity booklet

These resources make it easy to start meaningful conversations and create a more inclusive classroom environment for all students.

📦 Kit Delivery & Details:
Who: Schools within a 30-mile radius of Jackson, MS are eligible for delivery. Schools outside this area can contact info@cmdss.org to arrange pick-up at our Buddy Center in Ridgeland.
When: Kits will be hand-delivered by March 6, 2026, giving teachers time to prepare before Spring Break.
