Center for Women is FINALLY moving to its new location this week! We will be closed Monday, March 29th, through Friday, April 2nd. We will reopen in our new facility on Monday, April 5th, and can't wait to see you there!
This Monday morning we want to encourage you to find a “joyful moment” in your day. Something simple to something big that your heart can grab, wrap around and be encouraged by! Start out this week with a little bit more joy in your heart.
What would you like to see happen in your life in 2021?
Embrace the pause.
It seems like Thanksgiving wasn’t too long ago and we are back at the Holidays again. There are so many voices pulling us in all different directions and we have a check list on both sides of the paper. We are given 24 hours a day and in that time we need to make sure we are embracing the pause. The pause is a moment to stop what we are doing and breathe, to think about the good things that are in our lives and be encouraged in what we’re doing.
How do you embrace your pause? What do you do to take that moment to take care of you?
Life can have rough moments, forks in the road that cause us make decisions big and small. 2020 has been a rough year but the fact that you’re reading this means you have over come so much already, celebrate that. Let it be what you use to know you can tackle whatever lies ahead.
We are here for you too!
Happy Thanksgiving from our hearts to yours! What are you thankful for?
It's easy to feel discouraged by our struggles. When we remember why we are thankful we see where we can be encouraged. .
We know that we need to be kind to each other, but how often are we told to be kind to ourselves? Sometimes we are hardest on ourselves. We wrestle with the should have, could have and would haves. We have moments that we celebrate and moments we wish we could change. However, those moments don't define who we are. We are loved and cherished.
We have to remember to be kind to ourselves, show ourselves grace and cast out the words and thoughts that cause us to feel bad about ourselves.
Tell yourself that it's okay that tomorrow is a new day.
Tell yourself that you're not perfect but you're worth it.
Tell yourself that each new day is a new opportunity.
That you are wanted and loved, never letting people tell you the words "you can't".
You can achieve dreams, you can work hard, you can enjoy life, you can enjoy your friends and family, you can be GREAT at what you do.

Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself.
Welcome to Fall!!!
The air is crisp, the leaves are changing, the seasons are changing and right now things aren’t the “norm” in the world around us.
Sometimes we need the “pause” to take care of ourselves!
It’s so important to take care of your mental and emotional well being and it’s even better when you can enjoy doing it.
Here are a few things you can do to make that happen!

Parents, Is this "shelter in place" beginning to lose its charm? Are you going stir cRaZy with the little ones getting on your last nerve? Refer to our hours of business, and feel free to give us a call (517-787-4673). It would be our pleasure to offer you some encouragement!

04/10/2020

Even in these challenging days of "shelter in place," make an effort to take a deep breath, see the magnificence of your child's spirit, and smile.

At this time, our center is making efforts to minimize exposure and reduce transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Clients will be seen by appointment only, and we are asking screening questions, prior to entering our facility, to identify those who are at risk of COVID-19.

If you have an appointment, please call us at (517)787-4673 and we will greet you at our front door.

If you do not have an appointment, you may call to speak with someone for further guidance.

If you are a client needing diapers, wipes, baby toiletries, or formula, please call ahead of time with a list of your needs, and we will be glad to have them waiting at the back door.

Stay healthy and stay home! We look forward to the time when life gets back to normal and social distancing is a thing of the past!

WE ARE OPEN!

For our clients, in an attempt to do our part in minimizing the spread of illness, we will be suspending our on-site parenting programs until school is back in session (April 6). In the meantime, please feel free to call during business hours and learn about our on-line classes. Your participation will allow for continued credits toward use in the Parent Store. We will also be offering limited shopping. This will require a call to inform us of your greatest needs (diapers, wipes, toiletries, and food). We will package them up, and you may pick them up at our office window.

Those requiring medical services, such as pregnancy tests and ultrasound, may expect to be seen upon a scheduled appointment. Call 517-787-4673 for more information.

03/17/2020

In light of the virus that is slowing life down and allowing an opportunity to be more present with our families, be READY and WILLING to direct toward creative activities. Take a deep breath, and let the cRaZy FuN begin!!!

Some of the most beautiful and interesting flowers are those that are rare! Plant (deeply) seeds of VALUE within your child, bring their uniqueness into the LIGHT, water with sincere PRAISE, and watch them GROW!

Have you been especially busy with life, maybe frustrated by the cRaZiNeSs? Don't forget to make time for the little individuals in your life. You'll likely note some of the cRaZy will lessen. They want They want !!!
