Happy Thanksgiving from the Mississippi Funeral Directors Association

Holiday Notice: The MFDA office will be closed November 24–28 in observance of Thanksgiving. We’ll reopen the next business day and follow up on any messages once we return.

As we enter this season of gratitude, we want to take a moment to recognize the dedication and compassion of funeral service professionals across Mississippi. Your steady presence, care for families, and commitment to honoring loved ones make a profound impact in every community you serve.

This Thanksgiving, we hope you are able to slow down, enjoy time with the people who mean the most, and find moments of rest and reflection.

From all of us at MFDA, we wish you a peaceful, warm, and meaningful holiday. 🧡

The Southern District wrapped up its final quarterly meeting of the year at Sully’s Steak House in Hattiesburg! We had a great turnout with 23 in attendance.

Our 50/50 Split-the-Pot raffle raised $60 for the MFDA Foundation — thank you to everyone who participated!

We also want to thank our guest speakers, Mr. Nathan DuBard and Mrs. Jennifer Lowther from MORA, for an excellent presentation and for answering all our questions.

And a big shoutout to Mr. Solomon Strong and Shields Professional Vehicles for sponsoring our social hour. We appreciate your support and look forward to building our relationship!
