Despite an unexpected moment in the program, the 2025 Legacy Gala was truly a stunning night. ✨

We ate well, laughed together, danced together, and celebrated the people who make our community great.

Yuressa Shonta’s soulful dinner set, Lillie’s Restaurant exceptional meal, the incredible sounds of Dr. Jessie Primer & Friends as our house band, and our phenomenal host Kayla Thompson, who kept the energy high and the room laughing, along with Stephanie Luckett’s electric performance, reminded us what this night is truly about… joy, community, service, and positive impact.

Our Story

Founded in 1996 by Dr. Aaron Shirley, the Jackson Medical Mall was transformed from an abandoned shopping mall to a modern medical and retail facility. The mission, to provide healthcare for the underserved and to promote economic and community development, was made possible through strategic partnerships with UMMC, Jackson State University and Tougaloo College. Twenty years later, the Jackson Medical Mall sits proudly in the center of the state’s capital city, providing high-quality health and community services to the public.
