Starting this week, and every last Friday of the month, your Kid’s Corner will be run by ….Jackson County Licensing Coalition!

You may have already seen their smiling faces as they’ve popped into the market - but what do they do? (In addition to bringing the bubbles and hula hoops!) They work as a group to recruit foster/adoptive families as well as collaborate and help with retention efforts in Jackson County for foster parents, and they are always looking for foster/adoptive parents in Jackson County!

Looking to learn more about being a foster/adoptive parent? Or if you are interested in volunteering/respite, get ahold of them to learn more! Local agencies include: Jackson DHHS, Family Service and Children's Aid (FSCA), Samaritas, Catholic Charities Of Jackson Lenawee And Hillsdale Counties and more! James’ favorite animals are dogs, but chances are pretty good he’d enjoy hanging out at two of Detroit’s sports arenas with a couple of other loveable creatures. As in Hooper and Roary, the mascots of the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Lions, which happen to be James’ favorite sports teams. Because he loves sports, James prefers a forever family who shares his enjoyment of basketball and football.
