It has been quite a while since my last post! Since then, life has changed dramatically!
I appreciate you all for staying connected!!
âď¸ quick update âď¸
After a few committed years of consistent physical rehabilitation ~
* I went back to school
* became a nurse graduating from the University of San Francisco with an MSN.
* specialized in the NICU (neonatal intensive care) at the University of California Davis & San Francisco.
*presented my research in Paris (& won!)
* finally rode a bike in 2020 (on a bike path, of course đ)
* moved to Wyoming
* learned how to ski 3 years ago while being completely terrified of the unknowns & if my body (& brain) could handle it.
*started writing a book
* married an incredible manâĽď¸
* taught myself how to run again & will be doing the Big Sur Marathon with my dear friends, as a relay.
* & lots moreâŚ
Never did I believe I would be where I am today while I laid in that hospital bed & in the first few years to follow.
Now, Iâm about to launch a new and updated version of myself!
Those of you close to me know I have worked endlessly on all aspects of recovery from the unthinkable trauma Iâve endured. Today, as I look back, the energy Iâve devoted to my healing makes perfect sense!
*I am here for others.*
Others who seek growth & healing & discovery & joy & possibility in their lives.
More to come ~
Stay tuned!!
With Love,
Monique đ
P.S. This photo is of two of my dearest friends, Sandy James & Tyler Stewart, on my âsurprise weddingâ day. Two powerful & amazingly loving women who have had my back since day one & I would never be where I am today without them. (I just wanted to post an updated photo with happiness & joy)!
There are more family & friends I will gladly highlight who have been critical on my road to recovery ~ like I said, more to follow. đ
