TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT! We are excited to see you at 5:30 pm at the Northampton County Cooperative Extension office, 9495 NC HWY 305 Jackson, NC 27845.

A joyful reminder with a few sneak peeks...

Our Teen Council is so excited to host ThankFest at the end of this week! 🎉
Come join us this Friday (11/21) from 5:30–7:00 PM.

We’ll kick off the evening with some of our youth sharing their 4-H experiences, followed by several fun and educational stations.

Here’s a sneak peek at what to look forward to (stations):

🍁 Falling into Thankfulness – Create leaves of gratitude for the people who mean the most to you.
🎨 Dots of Joy – A creative craft activity where each youth will get to express their own view of fall.
🎡 Wheel of Information- Ask any questions you have about 4-H, and give our wheel a spin! Every participant receives a small token of appreciation for attending.
🥣 Trail Mix Design – Learn about our food and consumer science program while making a tasty treat.
🌾 Ag by Exploration – Discover more about agriculture through hands-on exploration.
🐮 Livestock: From Bahhh to Moo – Get to know about our livestock program and the many animals youth can engage with.

We hope to see you there for an evening of learning, creativity, and fun! 💚

This event is open to all youth ages 5–18 and their families—and you do not need to be currently enrolled in 4-H to attend. Please note: parents/guardians will need to stay with their youth during the event.

🐮 The time has come — our 4-H cow officially has a name! 🥤
We’re thrilled to introduce MILKSHAKE! 🎉

Check out some fun photos from a recent event with the Northampton Recreation Department!

4-H will be back in the community tonight in Rich Square, sharing information, handing out treats, and having a lot of fun! 💚

And don’t worry — we’ll be moo-ving on to Woodland next Friday to spend time with more amazing community partners! 🐮

The debut of our 4-H friend was an absolute blast! 🎉
Now we need your help giving our cow a name as we moooove into more community events! 🐄💚

This year's Northampton County Poultry Show was a big success, and we are so thankful to the youth who participated and all who supported them! 🐔🏅

Our 4-H participants didn't just show up; they demonstrated their strong knowledge of their chickens and impressive showmanship. Their hard work and dedication truly came through!

Also, their creative and informative posters helped share a wealth of chicken knowledge with everyone.

Congratulations to all our participants on a great poultry season! Every single person put in an amazing effort, and we celebrate each of you for your commitment to learning and growing. Keep up the fantastic work! Can't wait until next year!

We can't wait to see what you come up with for our Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

Who: Open to All Northampton County Youth. Age Divisions: Open Class (Under Age 5), Cloverbud (5-7), Ages 8-10, Ages 11-13, Ages 14-18, and Fan Favorite

What: Pumpkin Decorating Contest that requires youth to decorate a pumpkin using their own pumpkin and supplies. Pumpkins are not to be carved or punctured. Only one entry per youth.

When: All submissions are due by 5 pm on October 24th.
We will begin taking pumpkins as soon as October 6th. Pumpkins will be on display in the lobby from October 27th through October 30th.
