Our faculty, fellows and residents joined our enthusiastic medical students at the Jackson Free Clinic on their Neurology Day. Helping and treating the patients in need is the best form of satisfaction this work gives us !

Our PGY3 Dr. Ayaz attended the “Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN) Annual Meeting” in Orlando, Florida. He took part in hands-on workshop for Thrombectomy and Aneurysm repair. He also explored UF’s Mobile Stroke Unit and met their acute stroke team. Also met their official mascot, Willow, named after Circle of Willis 🧠🧠

We had our yearly Neurology Meet and Greet at Aplos with our amazing students with UMMC SIGN Group. It was attended by UMMC Neurology attendings, residents, and fellows discussing the various aspects of our amazing Neurology program and the opportunities provided here.
This event is always so fun and gives a broader perspective to promote Neurology as a career choice.

Continuing the joint venture between Neurology and EM Colleagues, we had another of our EM-Neuro Conferences today. Our PGY2 Dr. Shelby Freeman presented an educational Neuro-vascular case highlighting the importance of the combined efforts of Neuro and ED departments.

The Residency Fair at William Carey University College Of Osteopathic Medicine was such a fun event. Great opportunity to meet and interact with the medical students and spread information about our Neurology Residency Program at UMMC.
Our Chair Dr. Ingram, APD Dr. Huval, Stroke Fellow Dr. Chapman and Chief Residents Dr. Bhatti and Dr. Hubacek definitely had a fun time at the event.

We look forward to more such opportunities for future interactions and meet-ups with the fresh minds interested in Neurology.!
