🕯 Day of Remembrance 2025

We pause to honor the lives of those who have tragically passed while experiencing homelessness. Each life represents a story of struggle, resilience, and humanity.

Thank you to everyone who chooses compassion over indifference. Your support helps illuminate a path toward a world where every person is seen, valued, and offered the opportunity for stability and hope.

Let this remembrance inspire us to advocate for compassionate solutions that restore dignity, build community, and ensure no one is forgotten. Together, we can create a future where every life is cherished, and every person has a place to call home. Join us for this year’s Day of Remembrance on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Galloway United Methodist Church.

Friday, December 12, 2025 10 AM
Galloway United Methodist Church
Chapel
305 N Congress St
Jackson, MS 39201

Parking and entrance notes: Two parking lots available: One is on the side of the chapel. There's a small driveway between the chapel and the building on the corner of Congress and Mississippi Streets. The other is across the street from the chapel on Congress Street. The sign says "Secretary of State" parking. Pull into the parking lot by that sign, and go through it, around the back, to the right half of the lot which belongs to Galloway.

When you look at the church from Congress street, the Sanctuary is on the left with all the steps and the chapel is on the right. The doors face Congress Street. If someone ends up at a different door and rings the bell, the receptionist can assist them with directions.

About Us

Since 1971 Hinds Behavioral Health Services (HBHS) has specialized in community mental health services for adults, children and youth, families, elderly, and those with chemical dependencies and substance use. Our mission is to provide quality, effective mental health services to the citizens of Hinds County.

We are one of the 14 regional community mental health centers in Mississippi. The Hinds County Mental Health Commission, a public entity made up of members appointed by the Hinds County Board of Supervisors and two “at-large” commissioners govern HBHS. Each Commission member represents one of the five Hinds County Supervisory districts.
