👏 Congratulations to Josh Weatherford, Regional Service Manager at ReNew Biomedical, for being named to TechNation’s 2025 40 Under 40 list!

Josh’s career path has been built on a lifelong passion for problem-solving. From disassembling kitchen tables (sorry, Momma!) to rebuilding engines, his technical curiosity led him from the automotive program at TCAT (where he earned Master Mechanic status with 8 ASE certifications) to the City of Jackson Garage and then Lyondell Basell, where he gained valuable production and logistics experience.

Nearly five years ago, Josh joined ReNew Biomedical and has held roles from BMET to Area Lead, Assistant Shop Manager, Shop Manager, and now Regional Service Manager. Along the way, he became the first graduate of the AAMI apprenticeship program and achieved CABT, CBET, and CompTIA ITF+ certifications, with training on a wide range of medical devices including defibrillators, ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, stretchers, and cot loading systems.

Outside of work, Josh is a dedicated family man, married to his wife Chesney for 9 years, with two children, Nathan and Lily Claire. Whether hiking in East Tennessee, training in the gym, or on nightly “walk and talks” with Chesney, Josh stays as active as his career.

In Josh’s own words:
“I love the opportunity to make a difference. At the end of the day, my most important responsibility is to ensure that the customer is taken care of and equipped to complete their job effectively. Every device that is serviced by ReNew Biomedical is inspected and tested thoroughly. Being a part of such a crucial industry and seeing the real-world impact of our contribution is wildly rewarding.”

We’re proud to celebrate this recognition! Congratulations, Josh! 🎉

👏 Congratulations to Alec Hadley, our Field Service Manager, for being named to TechNation’s 2025 40 Under 40 list!

Alec’s journey with ReNew began in 2018 as a depot technician, and his dedication, technical expertise, and leadership have helped shape our field service program, including the launch of our Chicago satellite location.

With a background in computer building, programming, and a passion for hands-on technical work, Alec brings an innovative approach to solving complex service challenges. He’s currently completing his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Tennessee at Martin to further strengthen his leadership and support ReNew’s continued success. His passion for problem-solving, commitment to technician growth, and drive to impact patient care make him an invaluable part of the ReNew team.

In Alec’s own words:
“What I love most about my role is contributing to something greater than ourselves. The services we provide directly impact patient care, and that’s incredibly motivating. Seeing our technicians grow and overcome complex service challenges makes this work deeply rewarding. I’d like to thank Mark, Jill, and Justin for the opportunities they’ve given me here at ReNew, and I’m honored to be recognized by TechNation’s 40 Under 40 for 2025.”

We’re proud to celebrate this well-earned recognition! Congratulations, Alec! 🎉

🚨 Ventilator Recall Alert 🚨

Medtronic has issued a Class I FDA recall—the most serious level—for specific Newport HT70 and HT70 Plus ventilators. These devices risk sudden failure due to internal capacitor issues, with alarms that may not function properly. 63 incidents have already been reported.

If you use or maintain these models, determine if your organization's serial numbers are affected, and if so, stop using them immediately and arrange alternative ventilation support for patients.
