Improved immunity: Vitamin D3 versus D2

I’ve been telling my patients about the benefits of Vitamin D3 all throughput the pandemic. Vitamin D3 is essential for our body and is a necessity for improving overall health as well as helping our immune system protect against Covid. Everyone should be taking Vitamin D3 daily, especially if you live in cold weather states like Michigan. Months of cold weather from the long winter season means we’re not getting enough exposure to the sun for our bodies to make sufficient levels of Vitamin D. If you aren’t already taking it, you need to start now. It’s an easy way to ensure better health and function.

Happy April 1st! We hope you're staying positive as we all continue to deal with the quarantine. Only a couple of weeks to go...

We have had patients ask us if we will still be open throughout the remainder of the quarantine, so we want to keep you updated on our office. Chiropractors are specifically listed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as an essential service under healthcare/ public health providers in Michigan. As such we are able to continue seeing patients as well as accepting new patients who we feel require immediate care. We will of course continue to follow all of the CDC guidelines in order to keep our patients and staff safe.

OFFICE UPDATE...

Today Michigan residents have been ordered to stay in their homes except for “essential services”. They can go to work, for example, if their businesses remain open, especially if they have essential jobs such as first responders, sanitation workers or health care providers.

As healthcare providers chiropractic care has been deemed as an essential part of that health care system by providing relief for patients. Under this order you will still have the ability to come in for your adjustments, so at this time our office will remain open and will continue to provide care to our patients.

***IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CDC'S COVID-19 GUIDELINES, WE ARE TAKING EVERY PRECAUTION NECESSARY TO PROTECT OUR STAFF AND PATIENTS***

1) We are scheduling patients further apart in order to minimize interactions between others, so please be on time for your appointment so that we can limit our office lobby to less than five individuals at any given time.

2) All surfaces that patients may come into contact with have been sanitized and labeled as such.

3) The doctor and staff are washing their hands frequently as well as using hand sanitizer before any contact with patients.

4) Adjustment tables and traction tables are disinfected BEFORE and AFTER each patient.

5) We have provided hand sanitizer in each room as well as multiple locations on the front counter for your use.

6) Although we encourage patients to come into the office when experiencing symptoms, at this time we are asking patients that have any illness related symptoms to stay home. Please do not come in if you have a fever, runny nose, cough, chills, body aches or sore throat.

Please do your best when you come into the office to adhere to the social distancing recommendations and stay 6 feet away from each other. Clean your hands and keep any personal belongings with you.

***Do extra home rehab at this time so you do not fall behind on your spinal correction.
