Proud of our team representing Jackson Med-Link at the TN APCO/NENA Leadership Symposium.

Brandy, Daphane, Dwain, and Jason demonstrated real commitment to the profession, joining me in representing our center during all three tracks (telecommunicator, supervisor, and manager/director), on their own time and at their own expense.

Thank you all for representing our PSAP so well.

This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
A simple thanks to the Emergency Medical Dispatchers at Jackson Med-Link for the important work they do. When a 911 call comes in, they give clear protocol driven emergency medical instructions over the phone and dispatch EMS to help until crews arrive.
They handle tough medical calls around the clock, and their work makes a real difference for our communities.
Appreciate all you do.

🎉 Huge congratulations to our amazing Emergency Medical Dispatchers — Emily, Lane, and Jennifer — on successfully completing their EMT program!
Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to growing your skills are truly inspiring. We’re so proud of each of you and excited to see how you’ll continue making a difference in our community!
Well done! 👏❤️

Madison County Fire Department would like to congratulate our first EMT Basic class of 2026!

These students, representing both Madison County Fire Department and MedCenter EMS, have completed countless hours of classroom instruction, hands-on skills training, ride time, and evaluations. They will now move forward to take their National Registry written exam, an important next step in their journey.

This is a tremendous accomplishment, and we are proud of the hard work and dedication each student has shown throughout the program. We wish them the very best of luck as they head into the written portion.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to their instructor, Bobbie Doran, RN, Paramedic, for sharing her knowledge, dedication, and passion over the past several months. Her commitment has played a vital role in preparing this group for success.

Additionally, thank you to all of the preceptors who took the time to work with these students during ride time, teaching skills and providing real-world experience, as well as the evaluators who assisted with today’s skills check-offs.

Congratulations again to this outstanding group; we are excited to see what the future holds for each of you!

Dear Dispatcher,

Did you know that over half of your calls may be life-saving? According to a recent IAED survey, 59% of respondents agreed their call to 911 resulted in saving a life.

Every time you answer the phone, you are making a difference—whether it’s providing potentially life-saving instructions, sending the right help, or simply offering reassurance in a moment of crisis.

Thank you for being the first, first responder.

Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week!

I want to take a moment to brag on my incredible staff. As an RMCC (Regional Medical Communications Center), we wear many hats. First, we handle day-to-day operations, managing medical 911 calls and dispatching EMS for Madison, Chester, Benton, Dyer and McNairy counties in West Tennessee, But our role doesn't stop there. When disasters strike—whether it’s a natural disaster or a large-scale Mass Casualty Incident (MCI)—we are the ones who coordinate medical assets, including EMS and air medical, across 17 counties in West Tennessee, from the Tennessee River to the Memphis Delta.

The past five days have been particularly challenging. My team has worked long hours, been called back in to work , and managed the high stress of coordinating operations while navigating severe road closures—including I-40 last night—due to extensive damage and flooding. Despite these obstacles, my folks have shown nothing short of remarkable perseverance. Even when some of them have been personally affected by the tornadoes, they have still shown up to work without hesitation, staying dedicated to their responsibilities and the communities they serve.

Their resilience and unwavering commitment to their job, their team, and the people they serve truly inspires me. I couldn’t be prouder of the work they do, especially during times like this. Thank you to each and every one of them for their continued hard work and dedication. ~Christy
