We did NOT anticipate how much attention this sweet girl was going to get! She was adopted by a WONDERFUL couple about 45 minutes after we posted this, and is going to have THE BEST life!!!

Introducing Josephine 💕
16 weeks old | Pyrenees / Doodle mix | Part-time puppy, full-time chaos muffin
Josephine is what happens when fluff, sweetness, and zero impulse control come together in one adorable package. She’s got the soft curls, the big puppy paws she hasn’t grown into yet, and the kind of eyes that say, “I didn’t do it… but I’d do it again.”
She’s playful, cuddly, and currently perfecting important life skills like leash walking, polite greetings, and figuring out that feet are not chew toys (jury’s still out on that one).
Josephine will grow into a big, beautiful dog with an even bigger personality, so she’s looking for a family ready for puppy shenanigans, future fluff, and lots of love.
If your home could use more laughter, more dog hair, and one very good girl in the making — Josephine is waiting 🐶💖

🎄 Chico is pulling out ALL the stops this Christmas 🎄

He’s been here 171 days, and now that his friends got adopted, Chico has decided it’s his turn. He’s turning on the charm, batting his eyelashes, and flirting his way toward a forever home by Christmas.

Chico is great with other dogs, wonderful with kids, and rocking his crate training. Cats, however? He thinks they’re squeaky toys… so probably a no on feline roommates.

If you’re into handsome, playful dogs with a bit of swagger and a lot of love to give, Chico is ready to steal your heart. Come meet him and let him flirt his way into your family. 🐾✨

It's Chico’s turn. It has to be. 💔

With Toni and Reggie both finding their homes, Chico is now our longest resident. He came in the same day as Reggie and today marks 170 days of waiting. One hundred and seventy days of watching friends leave, learning routines, and still believing his people are coming.

Chico is a good boy in all the ways that matter. He does well with other dogs, has been wonderful with the children he’s met, and is making great progress with his crate training. He wants to do the right thing and tries hard every single day. He's a marshmallow of a love bug and has jumped the chain of command and gone straight to the top! He's asked Santa directly for a forever family and the big guy in red in pulling for him hard!

Cats, unfortunately, are not his calling. He thinks they’re squeaky toys and doesn’t understand why that’s a bad idea, so a cat-free home is best for everyone involved.

Chico has waited long enough. He deserves a couch, a family, and a chapter that doesn’t start and end in a kennel. If you’ve been following his story or you're just seeing him today, please consider making Chico the one who doesn’t have to wait anymore. Don't make us let Santa AND Chico down! We need to get him !

✨🎄 Christmas Cheer Keeps Coming! 🎄✨

Today we got another gift straight from the heart — Toni has been ADOPTED after 190 days in the shelter! 🐾💕

Toni held the title of our longest-running resident, patiently waiting while days turned into months. She watched countless others find their families, never giving up hope that her turn would come… and today, it finally did!

After celebrating Reggie’s adoption just yesterday, the Christmas miracles keep rolling in, and our hearts couldn’t be more full. Toni is heading home to trade kennel walls for a couch, a family, and a lifetime of love just in time for Santa to visit! 🎁❤️

To everyone who shared her story, rooted for her, and believed her day would come — thank you. This is why we do what we do.

Merry everything, sweet Toni. Your happily ever after starts now. 🐶✨

After 167 days of waiting and wondering when his turn would arrive, Reggie is finally HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!!!🎄Our handsome man has found his family and will have 8 acres to explore and play on when the weather permits. Thank you for choosing adoption and giving this fella the life he's been dreaming of! Look at his smile! ❤️❤️❤️

We are feeling incredibly grateful today 💙

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our grand opening with us. Seeing our community show up in such a big way meant more than we can put into words, and it made this long awaited milestone even more special.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to Dustin Buys Houses for stepping up as our first annual Habitat Sponsor with an incredibly generous $10,000 donation. This support will have a lasting impact on the animals in our care, and we are so thankful for your belief in our mission.

We were also honored to be joined by some of Jackson’s finest and loved getting to introduce Ofc. Hugueley, Ofc. Drown, Ofc. Stegall, and Ofc. Lawrence to our animals. The smiles, tail wags, and new friendships made were truly the highlight of the day.

***REGGIE GOT ADOPTED!!!****

Meet Reggie 💙

Reggie got all dressed to impress for our grand opening this afternoon. He is sitting patiently, hoping today might finally be his day. But the truth is, this sweet boy has been waiting for 164 days for a family of his own.

In that time, Reggie has watched dozens of dogs pack their bags and head home while he stays behind, wagging his tail, trying to stay hopeful, and waiting his turn. He does everything right. He loves people, does well with other dogs, is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is fully vetted. He just has not been chosen yet.

Reggie does not need to be the only dog. He does not need perfection. He just needs someone to see him and decide he is worth stopping for.

If you are coming to our grand opening today, please take a moment to meet Reggie. He has been ready. He has been waiting. And he would love nothing more than to finally go home. 🐾
