Being in the medical field is difficult. The majority of the time we only hear bad things. Today, I want to share a GOOD thing. This patient came into our clinic a few days ago, not feeling his best. He was in for a routine medication refill visit. For 3 days prior to his appointment, he told Libby (pictured with the patient) that he hadn't been feeling good, had horrible indigestion, nausea, extreme fatigue. Libby asked him several more questions and determined that the patient could be experiencing a heart attack. Libby performed an EKG and it was determined that the patient was having an active heart attack. He had been suffering at home for 3 days!!! Libby immediately got Diane Maxwell, our Provider and our team contacted 911. The patient was rushed to our local hospital and received the care he so desperately needed. Libby's quick thinking and immediate action saved this patient's life. IT SAVED HIS LIFE!!!! He came into the clinic July 9 for his hospital follow up. He did have a heart attack, he is alive today because Libby remained calm and knew what questions to ask and knew exactly what to do. These actions by Libby saved this man's life. I am blessed to be able to do something I love, but I am doubly blessed to work with such an amazing staff. Libby, thank you for all that you do, it is because of your quick actions that he is alive today.
**I have permission from the patient to share his photo and his story**
