Yalunda Whiteside ๐๐ฝ
Yalunda Whiteside is the mother of one adult child, Jordan Yarbrough, and the grandmother of Hannah Yarbrough. She is the precious oldest daughter of Nathaniel and Dereese Yarbrough and has four siblings. Yalunda is a woman who lives and walks by faith.
She never meets a stranger and can often be seen in the community smiling, greeting, welcoming, encouraging, and giving heartwarming hugs to everyone she encounters.
Yalunda is a 1988 graduate of Mt. Zion High School in Mt. Zion, Illinois, and an extremely proud 1995 graduate of Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. Her professional background includes serving as a Dorm Mother, Probation Officer, Domestic Violence Advocate, Foster Care and Child Protective Services Case Manager, Tennessee Early Intervention Services provider, and most recently, a Support Coordinator with the Department of Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation program.
She is also a member of the PLG Mental Health Advisory Board and a Life Member of both the National and Jackson Alumni Associations for Lane College.
In her spare time, Yalunda serves as the Hospitality Director at Lighthouse Jackson Church. She volunteers every third Monday with the Serving Hope Ministry, helping feed, fellowship with, and encourage those at the RIFA soup kitchen. She also collects food, clothing, shoes, and hygiene products for individuals in need.
Yalunda is a 35-year cancer survivor who gives all the glory to God. She lives by positivity and firmly believes that her destiny will be fulfilled.
