Meet Lynne, our new part-time receptionist and Client Advocate at our Gibson County Office. She has such a sweet heart, not only for babies, but also for women facing unplanned pregnancies as well women who need healing from past abortions. Last year before she moved from Ohio, the Lord laid the issue of abortion on her heart. After doing some research and online trainings from other pro-life leaders, the Lord spoke to her. She was praying with other women in a Bible study when the Lord said, "I've got them." She knew He meant that the babies who were aborted are with Him in heaven.

After she moved to Trenton to be close to her daughter, Lynne found out about Birth Choice and our need for volunteers when she was visiting a church that participated in the baby bottle campaign. The rest is history! We are so thankful for Lynne. Along with her other receptionists, she is one of the first people our clients will speak with when they call to make an appointment!

We made a Christmas bo**ie wreath! Each of these bo**ies is handmade with love, and we give a pair to each woman with a positive pregnancy test. It is a tangible reminder of the beautiful life growing inside of them.

One of our clients recently learned how precious her preborn child is:

Several things go through the minds of young women who find themselves unexpectedly pregnant. “Monica” was young, in school, and had plans for her life. Then one day, she took a home pregnancy test and discovered she was pregnant for the first time in her life. She found us while researching her options on Google and called us to make a free appointment to confirm her pregnancy and obtain more information before deciding what to do. She told our receptionist, Boo, that it was “hard to say what I am thinking about doing…I don’t want to harm it, but I don’t want a baby right now.”

When she came for her appointment, she sat down with Ann, one of our advocates. Monica asked Ann what God thought about abortion, and Ann shared, “that Scripture we had just read in Psalm 139 says that God knows the baby inside of us and His thoughts are as many as the grains of sand about this baby. I encouraged her to wait until at least after the ultrasound before making a decision. She said she would wait until then.” We are so thankful she did wait, because she chose life a week later after seeing her baby on our ultrasound machine!

Christmas parade recap! Birth Choice was blessed to participate in nine Christmas parades this year. The final parade was last night in Milan, where team members and friends had a blast handing out candy! Does the list of parade locations look familiar? They represent nine of our ten Birth Choice locations (we were sad to miss the Trenton parade). Every year, this is a fun way to feature our Mobile Clinics and remind our local communities that we are here for them when they need us!

Today is Human Rights Day! Over 2,000 years ago, a young girl named Mary carried an unplanned pregnancy that changed the world and the course of history. In Matthew Chapter 1, we see that Joseph, "being a just man," reacted to Mary's pregnancy with compassion, even before he knew Mary was carrying the Messiah.

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

May we show to others the same compassion that was shown to Mary as she carried the Christ Child!

Salem Baptist Church in Trenton is hosting an indoor market this Saturday, December 6th, from 9 AM to 4 PM to benefit Birth Choice of Gibson County! All revenue generated from vendor rental fees and food sales will be donated to our car seat fund for our clients. They will be selling food and handmade items by local artisans. What a great opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts! More details are in the flyer they shared with us.

Don’t underestimate the impact of talking about the Lord to women who are considering abortion! Recently, Mariah* came to see us after finding out she was pregnant. Her living situation was unstable, and she was unsure if the father of her baby would support her. But after talking about salvation and God’s plan for her and her baby, she said she would probably keep her baby. It was the ultrasound that sealed the deal. She saw her baby’s heartbeat and chose life!

Diamond Count Update: so far this year, we've witnessed God save 96 "diamond" babies at Birth Choice after their mothers changed their minds on abortion and chose life. God has allowed our team to share hope with almost 1,000 women around West Tennessee.
