Meet the Staff: Melissa "Mo" Workman, our new Assistant to the Financial Director. Pat (to the left) is so excited to finally have some much needed help!

Here is a little more about Mo:
"I have spent the past 25 years in ministry, including 13 years on staff at Fellowship Bible Church and 18 months on the mission field in the Dominican Republic with Mission of Hope. Upon returning from the mission field in September of 2025, I knew the Lord had a specific place prepared for me in Jackson. I just didn't know where that would be.

"In God’s perfect timing, my husband Ryan and I were invited to speak at a ladies’ dinner one evening, where Kim Mayer, the Director of Nursing from Birth Choice was also a speaker. As we shared about our recent return from the mission field and my desire to seek God’s direction for what was next, Kim leaned over and quietly said, “We might have a spot for you at Birth Choice.” The very next day, Brent reached out, interviews were scheduled, and the rest fell beautifully into place.

"As Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds us, 'Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.'

"Ryan and I have lived in Jackson since 2010 and will celebrate 30 years of marriage in June, 2026. We have two wonderful adult children, the sweetest daughter-in-law, and you’ll often hear me mention our dachshund, Roni Jo. In our free time, we enjoy traveling, Disney, Ole Miss, antiquing, and NASCAR."

Huge shoutout to the Adamsville Order of the Eastern Star for their handmade blankets, baby booties, and other wonderful donations! The booties will be given to our clients on the Mobile Clinics. We are so thankful to everyone who spent so much time and love to create these beautiful items that will keep some babies warm. 🥰

Click the link below to register for our Annual Fundraising Banquet on Thursday, April 16th! We hope you will join us for a special evening celebrating the lives God has saved through Birth Choice of West Tennessee, including the 105 babies saved last year. Our goal is to raise $250,000, and all funds benefit the Jackson, Gibson County, and mobile clinics as well as our new adoption agency.

Dinner is complimentary and we do not sell tickets, but please keep in mind that this is our largest fundraiser. If God is prompting you to give to Birth Choice, please make plans to attend our banquet. An opportunity to give to our ministry will be presented to all guests, so bring your checkbook or credit card and join us in defending life!

SPEAKER:
Our banquet’s featured speaker will be Steventhen Holland, who is alive today because his 18-year-old birth mother bravely chose life after being violently gang r***d. Because she was homeless and intellectually challenged, she was constantly pressured to abort her son, but instead, she chose to love him. His mother could not care for him, so he was placed in foster care and later adopted by a loving family. Steventhen shares his story so others may know the hope he has experienced through Christ our Savior. He is an advocate for adoption, the preborn, and children in the foster care system.

WHEN:
The banquet will be held on Thursday, April 16th. Mobile Clinic tours and seating will begin at 5:30 and dinner will be served at 6:00. Please RSVP by April 10th.

Please note this year's venue change. The banquet will be held at the Jett Fellowship Center at Englewood Baptist Church, 2239 North Highland Avenue, Jackson, TN 38305.

MOBILE SPOTLIGHT: Milan, TN location! We park across from Regions Bank in the Main Street Church of Christ parking lot on Thursdays from 10 AM to 4 PM. Will you share this post so we can get the word out about our need for volunteer advocates?

Yes, they are as sweet as they are cute! 😅 Allan is our trusty bus driver and Karen in the pink is our nurse. Rachel, wearing blue, is our Mobile Clinic Director as well as a nurse, but in Milan she doubles as an advocate...because she needs more volunteers!!!!!!!!

We need volunteer Client Advocates to minster to our clients about 2 days per month. We are looking for godly, Christian women with a heart for pouring into young women and encouraging them to choose life for their babies. We are specifically looking for volunteers in the Milan area. We are seeking a volunteer coordinator for Wendy’s Room, our client boutique at our Jackson office. This volunteer would be responsible for:

❤ Sorting and processing new donations
❤ Assembling gifts and layettes
❤ Inventorying supplies and keeping track of items low in stock
❤ Organizing and maintaining our boutique closet

We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills who can serve two days a week for one to three hours each day. If you are interested, please email chris@birthchoice.us for more details.
