Today we celebrated Senior Citizens Day in a special way! 💛
Our seniors enjoyed an old-time favorite meal request straight out the past -string beans, potatoes, and neckbones, followed by a wonderful trip to the museum. They also created handprint inspirations filled with their favorite quotes to keep everyone inspired & motivated.

It was a day full of joy, wisdom, and love for the amazing seniors who inspire us every day.

We are aware of the recent article and the misleading reports suggesting that Pleasant Hills is on a “closure” list. To provide clarity, the research being referenced is based solely on facility population and the percentage of Medicaid recipients. CES Home Office has no plans to close any of its communities, and Pleasant Hills does not meet the criteria outlined in this bill.
Pleasant Hills is proud to be a 3-star facility with a strong census rate. We remain fully committed to delivering the highest quality of care for your loved ones while maintaining strong connections to our community.

🌟 Who’s Who Wednesday – Help Us Welcome Two Amazing New Leaders! 🌟

We’re excited to introduce two incredible women who have recently joined our team at Pleasant Hills Community Living Center. Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Mrs. Ciara Brown and Mrs. Vivian Richardson!

👩🏽‍⚕️ Mrs. Ciara Brown
Licensed Administrator
Ciara Brown is a dedicated leader with a lifelong passion for serving others. Born and raised just four miles from Pleasant Hills in Jackson, Mississippi, Ciara’s journey in long-term care began as a Certified Dietary Manager and led her to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
She holds an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and a Master’s in Health Care Management—graduating cm laude. A proud graduate of the Administrator in Training Program, Ciara now leads with purpose, bringing a unique blend of compassion, education, and experience to our team.
Currently residing in Terry, MS, Ciara is also a loving wife and mother of three. Her mission is to continue making a difference right here at home.

👩🏾‍⚕️ Mrs. Vivian Richardson
Director of Nursing
Vivian Richardson brings over 16 years of healthcare experience to her role, along with a deep passion for compassionate and high-quality care. Born in Clarksdale and raised in Greenville, Mississippi, Vivian officially became a Registered Nurse in 2016. Since then, she has earned both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing (2025).
Her leadership journey began in 2017, serving as Assistant Director and later Director of Nursing. She has also worked as an MDS Nurse, Assessment Nurse, and Director of Clinical Services (Nurse Consultant), providing both clinical and administrative expertise.
Now, as Director of Nursing at Pleasant Hills, Vivian leads with integrity, fairness, and a deep respect for both residents and staff. Known for her fun-loving spirit and strong work ethic, she ensures every team member feels welcomed and valued.
Outside of work, Vivian is a proud wife and mother of five, and she credits her Christian faith as the foundation of her life and leadership.
