Congratulations to this year's Virtual Care Champions: Rural Health Innovation Award winner at NEXUS 2026 — Dr. Tearsanee Carlisle Davis, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP, FAANP

This award celebrates leaders who are doing the hard, unglamorous, and absolutely essential work of making virtual care actually work in rural communities-not someday, but right now.

From expanding specialty access where it didn't exist before, to tackling broadband and infrastructure barriers head-on, to building sustainable models that fit rural healthcare realities
this is innovation with impact you can measure in real lives, not just slide decks.

Even more impressive: the collaboration. Critical access hospitals, clinics, schools, community partners-coming together to close gaps that geography has kept wide open for far too long.
This is what rural health innovation looks like when it's done right: practical, persistent, and deeply patient-centered.

Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition at NEXUS 2026!

Proud to see these important discussions happening alongside peers and innovators from across the country as we continue advancing the future of connected care.

High-risk pregnancy care requires intensive monitoring, but patients shouldn’t have to travel for every check-in.

Today at ATA Nexus, Dr. Tearsanee Davis joined an incredible panel discussing how remote patient monitoring is transforming maternal healthcare.

The session highlighted innovative models supporting mothers through hospital-to-home programs, rural and underserved community outreach, and virtual-first pregnancy care. Panelists shared how RPM is helping reduce maternal complications, improve blood pressure control in preeclampsia patients, prevent hospitalizations, and expand access to specialized care.

A powerful discussion on how virtual care is improving continuity, enabling earlier intervention, and extending maternal-fetal expertise to patients wherever they are.
