This Autism Acceptance Month, we want to shine a light on the incredible dedication, compassion, and hard work of our amazing staff here at The Growing Tree! ๐Ÿ’™ Their unwavering support and understanding help create a world thatโ€™s not only more accepting but also more inclusive for children with Autism.

To celebrate, we held a Blue Out Challenge as a fun and meaningful way to promote acceptance and awareness. Our team showed their spirit, and we couldnโ€™t be prouder!

As we celebrate Autism Acceptance Month, weโ€™re thrilled to feature our next BCBA spotlight:

Hi, Iโ€™m Rashidah! Iโ€™m a BCBA and LBA, and Iโ€™ve been with TPC since April 2023. I passed my BCBA exam in August 2022. Before that, I worked in a school that specialized in supporting children with autism, which really helped lay the foundation for my work in the field. Since becoming certified, Iโ€™ve continued to grow as a clinician and enjoy working closely with families to support their goals.

๐Ÿ”‘ ๐Š๐ž๐ฒ ๐€๐œ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ:
Iโ€™ve had the chance to work with families across different states, which has given me great insight into how each familyโ€™s needs and experiences can be so unique. Iโ€™ve learned so much from the kiddos and parents I work with. Every family teaches me something new. I mostly work with children between the ages of 6 and 15 who are on the autism spectrum, including those who use AAC devices or communicate nonverbally.

I love building strong connections with my clients and finding ways to make learning meaningful for them. I enjoy creating programs that feel practical and personalized, and I try to be someone families feel they can rely on. While Iโ€™m still learning every day, I always try to bring care and flexibility to each family.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and watching TV right now Iโ€™m really into Apple tv's show Severance!
