Summit Firefighters are proud to support Local 1306’s Fill the Boot campaign with MDA! Stop by Brown & West Michigan Ave Oct. 16–18 (10 a.m.–2 p.m.) or donate online to help families in our community.

Local 1306 Fill the Boot Campaign

Local 1306 is proud to once again partner with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) for our annual Fill the Boot campaign. This longstanding tradition allows us to join together with our community to support children and families living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and other neuromuscular diseases.

This year, there are two convenient ways to contribute. First, you may scan the QR code provided and make a secure donation online. This option makes it simple to give from the comfort of your home or on the go. Second, our firefighters will be out in the community collecting donations in person. We invite you to stop by the intersection of Brown Street and West Michigan Avenue on October 16th, 17th, and 18th between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to drop your donation directly into the boot.

Every dollar raised stays local and helps the MDA continue providing critical research, care, and support services for families in need. We are grateful for the continued generosity of our community and for the opportunity to stand together for such an important cause.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you during this year’s campaign.

Today we reflect on the day that changed America forever. Thousands of innocent people lost their lives and 343 firefighters perished. Since then thousands more have become sick or died post 9/11. The entire MPFFU stands united in making sure that we honor those who died on this day 24 years ago.
