Daniel Webster Council has made the decision to cancel/postpone all Scout activities through May 15th which means all Pack 321 Cub Scout activities have been cancelled through May 15.

We will move forward with scheduling a fun campout activity for the scouts in late May/early June and will keep our fingers crossed that we are all able to get out by then. Summer Camp Carpenter is still on the calendar.

For those who would like to keep scout activities going in their home, please "like and follow" the Daniel Webster Council page as there are lots of ideas for the Scouts/families.

Pack meeting tonight at 6pm at the church. We'll be doing our wreaths and holiday decorations for the Shannon Door Fundraiser scheduled for this Thursday.

If anyone could bring in a glue gun with some glue sticks and some ribbon/bows and other small adornments that would be excellent!

As for the gift raffle so far to my knowledge we have a donation of ski passes to Great Glen trails with a fuzzy headband and a massage/spa gift certificate to Christmas Farm Inn.

If you have your donation already you can bring it to the pack meeting tonight.

The Shannon door fundraiser runs from 4 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday December 5th, please let us know if you are unable to attend.

Pack 321 will hold a pack meeting at 6pm at the Jackson Community Church.

We will have guest speaker and Jackson youth Joseph Della Valla present his plan to build a Ga Ga Ball pit in Jackson. Pack 321 will help Joseph with the construction of the Ga Ga ball pit as part of our community service this year.

We will also create "Thank You" cards to present to the organizers of last weekend's awesome Mount Washington Adventure!

And we'll review each den's plan for adventures this year!

10/02/2019

We are psyched to offer the scouts a day of adventure around Mt. Washington this Friday, October 4th.

For the roster, we have --

Scouts:
Thomas Dewar
Jameson Crane
Torin Crane
Austin Roberts
Hunter Roberts
Jacoby Burdick
Jack Hartnett
Patrick Wiswell
Rivir McCoy
Parents:
Michael Dewar
Tanya Hartnett

For climbing, that is nine total kids and two adults. Let us know if there's anyone else who is planning to join or if this is incorrect. Email lisa@mt-Washington.com

Please meet us at the International Mountain Climbing School by 9am on Friday morning. You can come as early as 8:45am. You must sign an IMCS waiver for the climbing portion of the day. Paul and I will be the guides for the day, in addition to another guide and friend of ours, AJ Hunter. We will outfit everyone at IMCS and go from there, location TBD based on weather and number of people.

If it is raining, unfortunately we'll have to cancel the climbing. We will instead lead the group on a hike. Again, location TBD.

After climbing, we will caravan to the Mt. Washington Auto Road and arrive there by 4pm. I will take one of our vans to fit 10 people. That would be the kids on the above list plus Paul. I think Todd will drive up his expedition, and although it can fit a lot of folks the interior weight restriction on the Auto Road is 900lbs so we are a bit limited there. We can sort that out but it may mean other parents are not able to join up the road.

We'll depart the base of the mountain by 4:30pm and arrive at the summit by 5:00pm. We'll have 1 hour at the summit and depart down bound by 6:00pm, arriving back at the base by 6:30pm. Sunset is at 6:21pm.

For anyone wanting to arrive early to help set-up camp, I can send you a map tomorrow that indicates how to drive to the camping location at Great Glen. This is the same spot as last year's campfire. Any other parents and family who would like to join the campfire and camping, join us in the northern main parking lot of the Base Lodge of the Auto Road at 6:30pm. Look for Paul's white minivan. We will drive out to the camping location at that time across the gate.

At the camping spot there is a fire pit and 4 big tent platforms. We do need tents so if you have one, let us know!

I hope this all makes sense! I know it's a lot of info. Let me know if you have any questions. Critical pack list is below.

Cheers,
Lisa and Paul
