Grateful today for a beautiful milestone like this 🫶💕 Thanks for sharing Palmetto Recovery of Charleston.
Our alum Cheryl celebrates one year sober today!
Milestones like this are not built in a moment, but through a series of quiet decisions to seek a different way of life. And like so many of us who have found our footing in this program, she has learned that recovery is not something we keep by holding onto it, but by giving it away.
Today, she chose to mark this milestone not with recognition, but with service. Preparing an Easter meal for the entire Palm community, she reminded us of a simple truth: that love and usefulness to others are the foundation upon which lasting sobriety is built.
This is the transformation we speak of. Not merely the absence of drink, but a change in spirit. A shift from self-centeredness to a life of purpose, connection, and quiet acts of care.
Cheryl, your willingness, your humility, and your example speak louder than any words. You are living proof that a new way of life is possible.
We would also be remiss not to acknowledge where this journey began—with an impactful 30 days at Hammocks on the Edisto, where the foundation for this new life was first laid.
We are grateful to walk this path with you. Happy one year to The Palm Mom!
