Oxygen in a homebirth setting isnât an emergency tool⌠itâs a support tool.
Just like having water, warmth, and hands-on careâoxygen is one more way midwives support the natural physiology of birth.
There are moments in labor or postpartum where a little extra oxygen can:
⢠support a tired mama
⢠help during a longer pushing phase
⢠assist baby in their transition
⢠be part of normal newborn resuscitation if needed
This isnât fear-based care.
This is prepared care.
Homebirth doesnât mean doing less.
It means doing whatâs neededâwith intention.
Save this so you feel confident asking your provider:
âWhat tools do you bring to support physiological birth?â
