It’s Cancer Prevention Month — and when it comes to women’s health, prevention truly is powerful. 💗 Here are a few things we'd like every patient to know:

1️⃣ Cervical cancer is highly preventable with regular screening.
2️⃣ HPV vaccination dramatically reduces risk.
3️⃣ Early detection results in more treatment options (and better outcomes).
4️⃣ Your annual exam is more than a check-up — it’s prevention.
5️⃣ Knowledge is power. Prevention is action. And your health is worth both.

Routine Pap smears. HPV testing. Breast exams. Conversations that matter. These simple steps can detect changes early — when treatment is most effective.

At Beaches OBGYN, protecting your longterm health is always the priority. If you’ve been putting off your annual exam, consider this your reminder! 🫶

So many moms thrive on caffeine because let’s be real — we’re all 😴 And then sometimes we make the mistake of having too much caffeine, leading to a poor night’s sleep… and the cycle goes on and on. Baptist Heath offers a few alternative tips on how to gain back that much-needed energy!

Join us in celebrating a big milestone for our own Dr. Rakiya Miller, MD, FACOG! 🎉

Dr. Miller has officially earned her board certification through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology — a meaningful achievement that reflects her continued dedication to clinical excellence and compassionate care at Beaches OBGYN.

That’s not all — next week, she will be traveling to South Carolina for Black Legacy Weekend, where she will volunteer her time providing free medical screenings. 🩺 Within the Black community, higher rates of maternal mortality, heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and other preventable illnesses remain a serious reality. Access to care is often delayed, and too many suffer in silence. We’ve said it before, and we’ll shout it again: ALL women deserve access to quality medical care. Healthcare is not a luxury. It is a right.

Congratulations to Dr. Miller on becoming board-certified and for continuing to serve both patients and the broader community in such an impactful way. ❤️
