News Release March 26, 2020
Women’s Care Florida Opens Telehealth Services for Ob/Gyn Patients

During the current COVID-19 pandemic, all of us have been encouraged to practice social distancing. We here at Women’s Care Florida are doing our part as well to keep you, as well as our caregivers, safe. We are pleased to announce that we have begun providing telehealth services to you across all of our regions in the Women’s Care Florida family—Tampa Bay, Orlando, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach.

The process is simple. When you call in for an appointment, tell us why you would like to be seen. If it a problem that is urgent or emergent, requires a blood draw or an ultrasound, or must have a physical exam to figure out how best to help you, we will offer you an in person exam. All of our Women’s Care Florida practices remain open to serve you.

However, if you need to ask questions or have a discussion on hormone replacement therapy, family planning, contraception, genetic counseling, bladder issues or many other issues, we may be able to offer you a telehealth visit. The process is easy.

We know that many of you stay connected through FaceTime and many of you with children are doing schooling at home using Zoom. We are exploring many of the same platforms. You simply tell our phone operator that you are interested in a telehealth visit. We will tell you which options we have available at your provider’s office. We will then set up a visit just like a regular visit with a scheduled appointment time. From there, one of our medical assistants will call you at the scheduled time to collect some important information from your history to prepare our doctor, nurse midwife or nurse practitioner for your visit. Expect a call within the next 30 minutes from your provider. You can be in the comfort of your own home! Our provider will ask you the same questions and offer the same advice you get in the office without the worry of the drive and waiting room. If during the visit, the provider feels you need a follow up in person exam, we are happy to schedule that for you as well.

Women’s Care Florida providers care about you and your well-being. While we miss seeing many of you in our offices, we need to do our part to keep you safe. We are here for you. We are continuing to develop our model and plan to offer some OB visit options as well in the very near future. Give us a call and we’ll set up a visit for you from the comfort and privacy of your own home. You can have the expertise of the professional advice of your trusted Women’s Care Florida provider without ever leaving your driveway.
Women’s Care Florida—improving the lives of women every single day!
