At Taylored Acupuncture + Wellness, our team is the heartbeat of everything we do. Each month, we will shine a light on one of our dedicated practitioners — celebrating their gifts, passions, and the unique ways they help our community rediscover balance and well-being.

“I'm a Scorpio, a coffee lover, and an adventurous spirit who finds joy in camping, creativity, and connecting with others.” This is how our Reiki Master and Sound Healer, Nikki, describes herself.

Her journey is rooted in creativity, connection, and the healing arts. She has always been drawn to the ocean, music, and community, finding joy in meaningful experiences and opportunities to learn from others.
After relocating from Orange County, California, to Jacksonville, Florida, she rebuilt her business from the ground up, an experience that taught her resilience and trust in new beginnings.

"As a Reiki Master Teacher, it’s an honor to attune others to Reiki and guide them in connecting with their own healing energy. One of my greatest passions is bringing Reiki into the birthing experience, honoring the sacred power of that moment for women.” she added.

Nikki offers private Reiki sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is also available for private Soundbaths for up to 6 people in our peaceful Sanctuary at Taylored Acupuncture + Wellness.

As we move into the darker half of the year, nature invites us to slow down, reflect, and let go of what we’ve outgrown. 🌙
It’s a time for release, renewal, and connection — and I’d love to invite you to join me for our final Goddess Ceremony of the year: Samhain.

Samhain (pronounced Sow-in) marks the Celtic New Year — a sacred moment when the veil between worlds thins, and we honor both endings and beginnings.
This gathering is an opportunity for women to come together, share, reflect, and celebrate the transformative cycles that shape our lives.

Together, we will:
✨ Open the circle and honor the elements & ancestors
🪶 Work with the Raven, symbol of transformation and rebirth

I finally framed my Doctoral Degree (from 2014!) and hung it up where it belongs on the wall in our beautiful sanctuary at Taylored Acupuncture + Wellness✨✨✨

I’m posting this in honor of the late Dr. Kim, a healer, a doctor, a mentor… a legend, whom I was lucky enough to work with and learn from for years during my Masters and Doctoral training. He was a huge part of where I am today and has shaped me in so many ways as a practitioner and as a person… his teachings were so profound and so powerful. I’ll never forget the day he asked me to work with him in the pharmacy in my second year at Emperors College, I was so surprised that the founder of this amazing school had asked little ol me, a newbie, and I was just so honored… he said that I had a big heart and that I will become a “superior doctor someday” but “to become a superior doctor you must meditate everyday”… I know what he meant by that now, 18 years later… he treated patients from the heart and on a deeper level than simply knowing all of the acupuncture points, meridians and all of the Chinese herbs, etc, of course he knew all of that but it was more on a spiritual level, a knowing, and that comes with years of experience, and meditation. What he built at Emperors was so important, and has touched so many lives all over the country and the world. So many wonderful practitioners/healers came from there and have helped so many people with all they have learned from him as well as all of the other incredible doctors/teachers that taught there. I truly feel so so honored to have gone there and spent so many years studying with Dr. Kim throughout my masters and doctoral training. I know his spirit is at peace and he is free. Thank you for everything Dr. Kim ❤️

Canang Sari — Traditional Balinese offering of balance representing the 5 elements and giving thanks to the gods, a daily act of sacred harmony. 🌿

These tiny temples are made of flowers and love, left at the feet of the divine. 🌸

🌿 The 5 Elements (Panca Mahabhuta) in Balinese Hinduism

These represent the building blocks of the universe and the human body:

1. Pertiwi (Earth) 🌍

• Symbol: Solid materials like flowers or banana leaves
• Meaning: Grounding, stability, physical structure

2. Apah (Water) 💧

• Symbol: Liquids or moist elements (like damp flowers or holy water)
• Meaning: Emotion, purification, flow of life

3. Teja (Fire) 🔥

• Symbol: Burning incense or the sun
• Meaning: Energy, transformation, passion

4. Bayu (Air/Wind) 🌬️

• Symbol: Movement (like smoke from incense)
• Meaning: Breath, life force, communication

5. Akasa (Ether/Space) 🌌

• Symbol: The space that holds the offering or the vibration of mantras
• Meaning: Consciousness, spiritual connection
